Since I began this venture into a career as an author, offering giveaways and prizes has been some of the most fun. In person or online, meeting readers is always a joy. Maybe it’s because the writing is such a solitary sport and getting out and talking with readers and writers makes me feel like less of a hermit.
It’s with that spirit of camaraderie, joy, and fun that I’ve launched this major Thank You event just for my newsletter subscribers. This is the largest swag package I’ve put together (to date) and it’s possible only because you’ve been fantastic about spreading the word about my novels.
When I made that first sale to my first publisher in 2004, I had no idea that by 2012 there would be five novels and so many short stories set in 2096 Chicago. Or that due to life events I’d need to change it up and write a more lighthearted series like the Matchmaker books. Or that I’d start the Hobbitville short story series for the young adult audience.
Live the adventure isn’t just my signature. In so many ways it’s my mantra. We need to live life to the fullest, no matter the circumstances!
We don’t ever know what lies ahead, but as I look back, I count the ups and downs as equal blessings because it got me here, sharing the stories of my heart with readers who are passionate about paranormal romance and urban fantasy novels.
