Greyhounds On Sofas versus Lawns

Today I’m posting a discourse (courtesy of the greyhounds and our foster hound) on which is the best place to relax – if you’re a greyhound – the sofa or the lawn.

Sofas, also known as couches, davenports, or recliners (if you’re a tiny hound like Boo) are wonderful places to relax, nap, and eat a treat (if the mommy’s not looking)

The lawn, also known as yard, backyard, grass, or sod, also has distinct benefits. Like the opportunity to dig and get dirty (so they have to give you a rubdown when you come in – bonus!). Or a soft place to soak up sunshines!

When the daddy is home, or the mommy is so inclined, or the boy has popcorn, the sofa is a great place to snuggle with a human. Sometimes you have to share with a keyboard thingy, but still it’s a good time. And if you put on the cute eyes or ears, you get a bite of the popcorn.

When the daddy or boy is doing yard work (which is not just laying in the sunshines) or the mommy is talking about attracting butterflies, the lawn offers more active kinds of fun.

Like chasing a tennis ball (daddy has the best throw) snorting in mommy’s special dirt, barking at flying water, or just running in great big loops until the sunshines need soaked up again.

In the end, Sofas nudge out lawns for best place to relax because they are good in all weathers.

Of course, the foster puppy wonders (with his cute ears on) why beds were not mentioned. That’s his favorite, all weather place to snuggle and relax. With or without people.

As mommy says: Live the adventure!
